How to do it

  1. Position a barbell in a landmine attachment or firmly anchor one end in a corner of a room. Load the opposite end with desired weight plates.
  2. Straddle the barbell with your feet shoulder-width apart. Hinge at your hips, keeping your back straight and chest up, allowing your torso to be roughly parallel to the floor.
  3. Grab the end of the barbell with both hands (or a single hand for a unilateral variation) using an overhand or neutral grip. Your arms should be fully extended.
  4. Engage your core and pull the barbell up towards your lower chest/upper abdominals, squeezing your shoulder blades together at the top of the movement. Keep your elbows close to your body.
  5. Slowly lower the barbell back to the starting position, maintaining control throughout the eccentric phase.
  6. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
