How to do it

  1. Securely anchor a resistance band behind you at chest height. You can loop it around a sturdy pole or use a door anchor.
  2. Stand facing away from the anchor point, grasping an end of the band in each hand (or loop handles if available). Take a step forward to create initial tension in the band.
  3. Position your hands at chest level, with elbows bent and tucked slightly into your sides, similar to the bottom position of a push-up. Your feet should be shoulder-width apart, with a slight bend in your knees.
  4. Keeping your core engaged and back straight, push both hands straight forward, extending your arms fully but without locking your elbows. Feel the contraction in your chest muscles.
  5. Slowly and with control, return your hands to the starting position, allowing the band to pull your arms back while resisting the movement.
  6. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
