How to do it

  1. Sit on the incline bench press machine and adjust the seat height so the handles are level with your mid-chest.
  2. Plant your feet firmly on the floor.
  3. Grasp the handles with a medium, overhand grip.
  4. Exhale as you press the handles forward and upward until your arms are fully extended, but not locked.
  5. Pause briefly at the top.
  6. Inhale as you slowly return the handles to the starting position, feeling a stretch in your chest muscles.
  7. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
