How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with your legs extended and raised a few inches off the floor.
  2. Place your hands lightly behind your head, elbows wide.
  3. Engage your core, then simultaneously bring your right knee towards your chest while lifting your left shoulder and elbow towards your right knee, performing a twisting motion.
  4. Keep your left leg extended and elevated off the floor.
  5. As you lower your upper body and extend your right leg back to the starting raised position, immediately begin the movement on the opposite side: bring your left knee towards your chest while lifting your right shoulder and elbow towards your left knee.
  6. Continue alternating sides in a controlled, fluid motion, ensuring your lower back remains pressed into the floor and your legs stay elevated throughout the exercise.
