How to do it

  1. Step onto the belt squat machine platform and secure the belt around your waist, ensuring it's comfortable and snug.
  2. Stand upright, unlock the safety mechanism, and grasp the handles for balance if available.
  3. Initiate the movement by hinging at your hips and bending your knees, as if sitting back into a chair.
  4. Lower yourself until your thighs are parallel to the platform or as deep as your flexibility allows, maintaining an upright torso and keeping your chest up.
  5. Drive through your heels, extending your hips and knees simultaneously to return to the starting upright position.
  6. Fully extend your hips and knees at the top without locking them out excessively.
  7. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
  8. Once finished, re-engage the safety mechanism before stepping off the machine.
