How to do it

  1. Place a resistance band around your ankles, just above your knees, or around your feet, depending on the desired resistance and muscle activation.
  2. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent, and your core engaged. Keep your back straight.
  3. Take a small step sideways with one foot, pushing against the resistance of the band.
  4. Follow with the other foot, bringing it back to the hip-width position, maintaining tension in the band throughout the movement.
  5. Continue stepping sideways for the desired number of repetitions or distance.
  6. Then, repeat the movement in the opposite direction to work both sides evenly.
