How to do it

  1. Find a clear wall space or open area. Start by facing the wall, about 6-12 inches away, or practice in an open space if you have sufficient balance.
  2. Place your hands on the ground, shoulder-width apart, fingers spread wide and pointing forward (or slightly out).
  3. Kick one leg up towards the wall, followed by the other, or jump both feet up simultaneously, aiming to stack your hips and legs directly over your shoulders.
  4. Engage your core tightly, pull your belly button towards your spine, and squeeze your glutes. Keep your legs straight and together.
  5. Push actively through your shoulders and hands, as if trying to push the floor away from you, keeping your arms straight.
  6. Maintain a straight line from your wrists through your shoulders, hips, and ankles. Avoid arching your lower back excessively.
  7. Keep your head neutral, looking slightly forward between your hands or towards the wall.
  8. Hold this position for the desired duration, maintaining tension throughout your entire body.
  9. To exit, slowly lower your legs back to the ground with control, or cartwheel out if you are in an open space.
